GM Notes
The village sits above caverns connected to the village well. The caverns lead to an ancient temple for one Ilvir's children, a giant intelligent spider (Enormis Arachnid) with magic abilities. The cult that worshipped Enormis Arachnid died out a long time ago. After the earthquake hit Petus, a portion of the village's well exposed the caverns under Petus. Nolvus, one of the village's handymen, was sent into the well to figure out why the well had failed.
Nolvus explored the area and discovered Enormis Arachnid. Enormis Arachnid immediately converted her to his cult, and he became her priest. He was given a rod that allowed him to control spiders and people to do his bidding. Enormis Arachnid is trying to rebuild her cult and is using Nolvus to accomplish this goal.
