Day 1
Today, our group began its journey to find and destroy the dreaded Divine Compass of the Eight Demons. We rode through verdant fields under a bright sky, feeling hopeful and determined. The path ahead is fraught with danger, but we are committed to seeing this quest through.
I have heard whispers of the Compass's power - how it can locate holy items sacred to Agrik or Larani, as well as powerful priests and warrior-priests dedicated to their gods. In the wrong hands, this artifact could tip the balance in the eternal struggle between good and evil.
As we set up camp for the night, I took some time to study my maps and research what I could about the Compass's whereabouts. From what I can tell, it was last used during the Black Plague, circa 535 DA, both in the capital of Wullac and Hrothgar.
Day 10
We encountered our first challenge today - a band of highwaymen who sought to rob and perhaps kill us. But we stood firm and used our wits to outmaneuver them. I must admit, I'm quite proud of how my followers handled the situation.
Their courage gives me hope that we can succeed in this quest. The Divine Compass is a powerful artifact, but with determination and faith, we will overcome any obstacles that cross our path..
I've been thinking about where the Compass might be hidden. It's too dangerous to keep somewhere obvious. My best guess is that it was moved to a lesser-known Agrik temple or shrine, somewhere remote and well-guarded.
Day 20
We're nearing our destination now, a small village rumored to be hiding something called the "Cairn of Whispers." I don't like rumors, but I'm willing to investigate. They may know something about the Divine Compass.
Tomorrow, we'll make our way to the "Cairn of Whispers". I'm tense with anticipation and trepidation. The Compass is no trivial thing; it can change everything if used by those who seek power over others.
(Different handwriting)
It has been more than two weeks since the ambush happened. I can’t believe that Sir Cerand is dead. There are only four of us left. The Agrik scum are all dead. The village of Cairn of Whispers was a trap. The battle lasted all day.
We spent days burying our dead. We made sure each of our friends had a proper burial, and we prayed to Larani that she would accept them into her domain. We found an ancient crypt that had never been used. One of my companions believes it was created by an Ainu colony to bury their own dead. There are only legends about Ainu colonies in the area, but no one has ever seen one.
We buried Sir Cerand with full honors. We sealed his sarcophagus and the stone covering the crypt entrance with Larani's holy symbols.
As for the Agrik scum, we dragged them to the river and their naked bodies into the river.
